The SpillProof Blanket is back in stock and shipping now! And, it's better than ever with a new recycled micro-fleece.
Repreve® is a super soft, premium quality, anti-pill micro-fleece that is made with 30% recycled fibres. Using Repreve® is a baby step in helping the world become a healthier place to live.
Here's how it works:
1. Pre-consumer polyester fibre waste and post-consumer plastics are collected.
2. The collected waste then enters a unique material conversion process where it is chopped, ground, melted and reformulated.
3. Repreve®, a 100% recycled chip, is formed.
4. The chips are melted into molten polymer so they can be extruded through tiny openings in a spinneret, creating continuous filaments that together make the yarn.
5. Additional processes enchance the texture of Repreve® recycled years, giving them bulk, crimp, and strength. This provides essential properties to fabric like stretch, comfort, and softness.
We hope that one day there will be a 100% recycled option, until then, we offer you the same great style and design, with a great new fabric, at the same great price.
