Like most parents, we often have sunscreen battles before we head out to play. In the end, it's worth it, knowing that our little athletes are protected from the sun's harmful rays. That is, until we see the thick white hand prints and smudges on the brown leather chairs, the black front door, the stainless steel fridge, ugh! Sunscreen application tips:

spray on 6 inches away from skin
no need to rub it in - let it dry 2 - 3 minutes then send them off to play
apply 30 minutes before sun exposure
re-apply after swimming, excessive sweating or every 2 to 3 hours
spray onto hands and then apply to face
spray directly onto hair and scalp for added protection
don't forget their little ears!

Tips for FUN sun-play for children:

try to schedule outdoor play before 10 am and after 4 pm or limit your children's sun exposure by providing them with shade under trees or large umbrellas (a SpillProof blanket makes a nice cozy resting place to re-hydrate)
be sure to offer your children lots of water throughout the day
