Grab 'n Go Bag :: Make it Theirs

Grab 'n Go Bag :: Make it Theirs

August 25, 2008

Who doesn't have two or more of the same thing? Here's a fun solution for multiple Grab 'n Go Bags and the like...

I received this inquiry from a customer today:

Hi - I am a huge fan of the grab and go bag - absolutely LOVE it.  I just bought a second bag for my new baby and a third bag for a gift.

Are you considering making the grab and go bag in other colours?  It would be great for parents with multiple children so that they could easily know who's bag to grab when they are on the go!

Thanks again,
Naomi

Thanks again, Naomi! This was a great question so I thought I would share. It's always great to hear from customers. We like to know what works and what doesn't so that we can continue to improve our products and make them work better for our customers.

I let Naomi know that while we have no immediate plans to add more colours in the Grab 'n Go Bag, I do have a solution for her. After all, I do have two boys and the fight that ensues over anything that looks the same...well, let's just leave it at that because I know you know!

The idea of customizing our Grab 'n Go Bags was a lifesaver when we had two on the go. I hit the local bead store and picked up a bag of alphabet beads and some smaller coloured beads to string together a chain with each of the boys' names. Below is a sample I have from one we use at shows on our girl mannequin...we named her Emily - NO idea why!

If you're really adventurous, you can turn this into a little craft project with your child. Take him or her (them if you're REALLY adventurous) with you to the bead store and let them pick their favorite beads to string with their name. If you're not so crafty, enlist the help of the salesperson while you're there - they'll make sure you have everything you need and in some stores, you can build the project while you're there, using their tools. Make sure you bring your bag!

Whether you have one or more kids, customizing 'their stuff' can sometimes lighten your load and help them learn to be responsible for 'their stuff'. My three year old is in the final phases of his potty-training and has been proud to tote HIS Grab 'n Go Bag with spare underwear, Quick Wick Sport Shorts and SpillProof Change Pad to daycare everyday. And, he knows its location at any given moment.
