Milk Factory’s Quick Wick Active Wear for kids is made with a 100% polyester, dry weave fabric called CoolBest®. This lightweight fabric wicks moisture away from sensitive skin, pulling it to the exterior of the fabric for a quick dry result. It is used for any activity where moisture is a factor, making it ideal for drooling babies and sweaty toddlers.
Remember: Cotton retains moisture, and...wet cotton feels rotten!

Yes! Dry weave fabrics are created for athletic wear, and they are now used for multiple sports, such as running, biking, and skiing. Other brands include Coolmax® and Nike Dri-FIT. Since they are used by athletes, these fabrics are designed to have excellent air circulation to help maintain body temperature. By keeping body temperatures at an appropriate level, Quick Wick keeps kids cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Yes! SPF (sun protection factor) is the standard used to refer to the effectiveness of sun-screen. UPF (ultra-violet protection factor) is used specifically for sun protective fabrics.
Different fabrics have different UVR-absorbing properties. CoolBest ® has an excellent rating of UPF 40. This means that Quick Wick allows 1/40th of the UV radiation falling on the surface of the garment to pass through it. In other words, Quick Wick blocks 39/40ths or 97% of the UV radiation. On average, cotton is rated at UPF 7.
Quick Wick is intended to add to your smart sun practices. It is not a replacement for sunscreen or shade. The damage that is caused by exposure to direct sunlight is extremely high and irreversible.
